Saturday’s racing saw me at round 3 of the Sussex XC league, at Ardingly.
Opting for spikes this time over the undulating 5km course, I stayed running comfortably for just over the first km, before attacking up the first climb and gaining a 15/20s lead within just a few minutes.
Knowing I’d have to maintain the lead for another 3.5k to the finish, I pushed on and despite not opening up the gap much more, crossed 1st with a 20s gap for my second win of 2 races this season.

Next weekend, I’m racing my second National Cyclocross Round at Clanfield. Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see my racing and training.
Here’s a couple videos from yesterday’s cx riding in the forest 👇
